Frozen Head State Park

Frozen Head State Park, located approximately 8 miles southwest and just a 15-minute drive away, offers a wide range of outdoor activities and stunning natural beauty. Obed National Wild & Scenic River Visitor Center

The Obed National Wild & Scenic River Visitor Center, conveniently located in Wartburg and just about a mile northeast-approximately a 5-minute drive from the RV Park-is a hub for adventure and learning. At the visitor center, you can explore exhibits showcasing the area’s rich local history, fascinating geology, and diverse wildlife. Outdoor enthusiasts will love paddling and whitewater rafting on the Obed river. 

There is also hiking trails that offer stunning river views, such as the popular Lilly Bluff Overlook. For thrill-seekers, the park is renowned for its challenging rock climbing routes. Along the riverbanks, keep an eye out for incredible wildlife, including otters, bald eagles, and great blue herons, making an unforgettable experience.

Catoosa Wildlife Management Area

The Catoosa Wildlife Management Area, with its nearest access point located about 15 miles southeast and roughly a 25-minute drive from the RV Park, offers an expansive 82,000 acres of protected wilderness to explore. Visitors can enjoy hiking through diverse landscapes, hunting opportunities, and capturing incredible moments through wildlife photography. 

The scenic gravel roads within the area are perfect for off-road biking and thrilling adventure drives. Nature lovers can spot a variety of wildlife, including white-tailed deer, wild turkeys, and even black bears in their natural habitat. Fishing enthusiasts will appreciate the Obed River and it’s tributaries, known for bass and catfish, making this destination a haven for outdoor adventure.
